DFW Curling Club Dedicated Ice
The DFW Curling Club is kicking off their dedicated ice fundraiser. We are currently in contract negotiations on a 19,500 square foot building between Six Flags Over Texas and the Texas Rangers Stadium. We will lease this building and then renovate to suit our needs to house 4-5 sheets of ice.
Aside from it being our dedicated ice facility, we will also have the ability to bring in income throughout the year by renting out parking spaces during ball games, concerts, and special events. BONUS!
We have an architect, engineer and general contractor on board. We also have our refeigeration specialist lined up, and a vote from the membership to move forward in the process, and this is where the public come in.
The goal to make up the difference between what we currently have on hand and monies promised, is $300,000.00. This amount will help cover the gap in funds and allow us to move forward with construction and build-out of this project.
Any donation will help our club, founded in 2002, to finally curl on ice made specifically for curling, and with all non-profit organizations, your donation is tax deductable.
