Devices for Distance Learning - Support Students from Underserved Schools during the COVID-19 Crisis and Beyond
The COVID-19 pandemic has turned our worlds upside down. Students who used to go to school every day to learn and engage with their peers must now stay at home and participate in remote learning. Unfortunately, this type of learning requires the use of devices and internet connection. What happens to the kids that don’t have devices readily available at home or if their families can’t afford to buy these on their own? Or those that may live in rural areas with little or poor internet connection? These students need your help and support to keep learning during these trying times.
We would like to contribute technological devices such as laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, wifi hotspots, or any other devices needed to make remote learning easily accessible to as many students as possible. We are looking toward providing these devices to schools in need of support to participate in remote learning. The more we raise through this campaign, the more students' lives will be impacted.
We were able to identify schools in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Virginia where there is a great need for devices. Sayler Park, a school in Cincinnati, has already received 45 Chromebooks from the North South Foundation.
“The little girl ... is a precious, hard-working student who also loves ballet. Her mom is hard-working, but makes just a bit over minimum wage. This computer is a dream come true for them and will make it possible for this child to resume her studies.” -- Sayler Park Staff

These schools in low-income neighborhoods where students need electronic devices to participate in online classes are now able to engage in online education. We strongly believe that children should not be denied online education while staying home simply because they cannot afford a device.
Please donate to help bring devices to every student in need. Any amount will help bring students one step closer to a brighter, more successful future.
How is the North South Foundation encouraging us, the Young Changemakers:
The foundation has committed to match 1:1 up to $25,000. This means, through your generosity, we could potentially provide $50,000 or more worth of the devices to help about 500 kids continue their learning during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond!
We are members of the Young Changemakers Initiative (YCM) of North South Foundation (www.NorthSouth.org, a non-profit organization) that supports and encourages excellence in education and supports children to make a change in their communities. Young Changemakers Initiative (YCM) of North South is a group of kids ranging from elementary to high school students with a drive to create change in the world for the good of all.
Thank you for all of your help.
Our deepest regards,
The Young changemakers of the North South foundation
