Dear Family and Friends,
I'll be cycling for 100 miles from Long Beach, California to Irvine and then back to Long Beach on May 11th supporting the Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Institute at Miller Children's Women's Hospital by raising USD$200. Here's some information about the hospital http://www.touroflongbeach.com/about-jjcci. I'm counting on YOU to help me reach my goal for this effort.
How long is 100miles?
- rount trip from Wan Chai (灣仔) to Lo Wu (羅湖) and then DO IT AGAIN. or
- round trip from San Jose to San Francisco, or
- round trip from DT Melbourne to Geelong, or
- From Coquitlam Center -> UBC -> Point Roberts -> White Rock -> Langley -> back to Coquitlam Center
How long will it take?
It will take approx. 7 hours of cycling without stop but there will be 5 stops along the way to get water/snacks, and use the bathroom. I have trained for about 6 months and in order to do this, there will be more long hour training going into this event.
The event requires a min. goal of $75. As this is my first fund raising, I'm setting the bar very low of $200 because there will be more to come in the future! When I join the more difficult course (more hill climbs), I will raise my donation target.
