Derryl King was a dedicated Educator who served as a Music Teacher, Counselor, and Principal. She worked in the following schools, Cheviot, Roosevelt,Dater, Heberle and Ethel M Taylor Academy. Upon retirement Derryl joined the GRAD Cincinnati Program where she served in two capacities, College Readiness Coordinator and After-School Site Coordinator. She loved working with students to prepare them to go to college and succeed in their careers. The students loved her and many times shared their personal lives with her. Often they would share with her the latest rap song or new outfits they had bought. She had the personal touch that made her so successful with reaching students. We were devastated to find out that Derryl had fallen ill and passed away on April 5, 2020. What a wonderful way to keep Derryl’s Legacy alive by funding a Scholarship in her memory. We would like to raise $2000 to support a scholarship in Derryl's honor. Please donate and help us send a student to college under Derryl Kings' legacy. With your donation we can keep her legacy alive.
