We hope you'll support us in our efforts to bring happy, healthy smiles to the rural communities around Jocotan, Guatemala in 2021!
Optimum Guatemalan Relief Canada Inc., also called Optimum Services Organization (OSO), began over 9 years ago when our local surgeon, Dr. Hector Roldan (who works at the Huntsville and Bracebridge Hospitals) joined forces with Juan Vasquez (a Guatemalan engineer) and identified a lack of services in the rural areas of Jocotan, Camotan and Chiquimula, Guatemala. Together they have created a team of dedicated volunteers (including local dentist Dr. Adrian Musters) working towards creating a facility that will offer dental care, healthcare, education, a place of worship and food security.
The first phase of our project is the opening of a dental clinic. We have acquired the land, built the building and installed the dental equipment. You can see this in the attached photos! We need your help to:
-connect water systems and install filtration
-install wastewater removal
-connect to the electrical grid
-complete finishing touches to clinic rooms
Please help us accomplish these last few tasks so we can open the dental clinic and begin providing much needed dental care.
Thank you for helping us bring happy, healthy smiles to the rural communities around Jocotan, Guatemala in 2021!
