Dr. Stewart Surloff was diagnosed with lung cancer in February of 2001. While facing his struggle he found that "There is more to cancer than chemotherapy and surgery." Though an endowment left to the Jewish community when he passed, his wife, Mimi, and a dear friend became inspired to develop Stewart's Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center. Stewart's first opened it's doors in October 2004. Today, Stewart's carries on his legacy by providing support services, free-of-charge, to individuals and families touched by cancer.
Our mission and promise is to provide a caring, relaxed environment offering supportive services and programs for individuals and families on their cancer journey at no cost.
