Where you are born should NOT determine whether or not you get to go to school or eat when you are hungry. Our family is lucky to have had access to a quality education and food when we are hungry.
In a few weeks, I am spinning with a team of others to raise money to keep open the doors of a school built by my friend, Julie, in Kololo, Ethiopia, a rural village where her children, Meazi and Melese were born. The school was built 8 years ago and now educates and feeds 350 students in grades k-4. In addition to the education, the children are fed 3 times per week. For some of the children, this is the only meal they have all day.
For each child to attend this school, the cost is approximately $160 per year. Our goal is to raise $50,000. Please consider a donation by clicking on the Go Fund Me charity link below. Thank you!
