The first time I ran in the Celebrate Life 1/2 Marathon, the ONE person I thought about and ran for was my twin sister who, unfortunately, died at the the young age of 13 from leukemia.
Over the years it's been so hard to pick just one person to honor and run for because there seem to be so many. CANCER SUCKS!
No little town is immune to it and ours (Downsville/Corbett) has been hit hard. So I run for all of you warriors. The ones who lost their battle and the ones still fighting one. Your donation could help your friend or maybe even a family member and in the meantime, let's hope this dirty, rotten "C" word gest wiped off the face of the earth - SOON!! God Bless.
This year I'm running the Celebrate Life Half Marathon for my bestie, Maria Deramo Scaglione. She's had a rough few months kicking breast cancers ass and still has a long road ahead of her. By supporting our fundraiser, cancer patients are given financing to help them during this very difficult time. ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO CANCER WARRIORS.
As always I run in memory of Vicki Houck, Vicki Stein and Diane Lacey and all who have fought the good fight.
Please consider making a donation to our team, every donation is greatly appreciated. You get to sit on your couch March 8 while Dawn and I run 13.1 miles. Show the love!!! THANK YOU and as Dawn said, God Bless you!
