DWT FLASH FOOD DRIVE SUPPORTING FOOD LIFELINE DURING COVID-19
In times of crisis, Food Lifeline and its clients need our support more than ever. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, food donations have dropped significantly, yet the need for food is rising. This food drive will help us give back in a meaningful way.
The DWT Flash Food Drive begins on Wednesday, April 8 and ends on Friday, April 10th—if you can contribute, even in a small way, together we will be able to make a big difference.
Thank you for your consideration.
Message from Food Lifeline
More than 800,000 Western Washingtonians don't always have enough to eat and over half of the neighbors Food Lifeline serves are children and seniors.
In times of crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic, those most in need are disproportionally affected.
- Students are forced to go without nutritious breakfasts and lunches
- Low-income seniors in need of food assistance are forced to stay home
- Wide-spread layoffs mean more people will need help putting food on the table
Our community’s support is more critical than ever—any financial support will make a difference, for example:
$10 will help provide two weeks of groceries for a home bound senior
$30 will help provide a family of four groceries for four days
$50 will help provide 25 boxes of fresh produce for one of our partner food banks, meal programs or shelters
$100 will help provide 1,000 pounds of nutritious produce
Your support now will make a real-time impact for deserving people in our community. Hunger doesn’t have to happen, especially for those who need us most.
