On 8/18/19 David fought the greatest battle of his life when he was violently assualted outside his home. David fought his attacker(s) and managed to get in a position where witnesses could see him and call 911.
In the ambulence David's heart stopped beating. He arrived at the ER without a pulse. In the most miraculous series of events, David's heart started beating on his own after the ER surgeon cut his chest open and physically put his finger in the stab wound in his heart. From there David continued to improve and checked out of the hospital less than two weeks after his assualt. His story is unheard of. Denver Health will be using David's case as a learning course for students from all over.
David has fought for justice and protection for those who need it the most his entire life. He is a hero to many.

SFG Mission and Vision
The mission of SFG is to empower middle school girls to support one another and themselves in their pursuit of strength, both in body and mind. We do this using an evidence based program that involves lessons designed to foster self-love and activities that show the girls what they can do when their bodies are strong. We envision a world where girls love all of who they are (inside and out) because we know that all girls are inherently strong, worthy and capable of greatness.
Thank you for your support of Smart Fit Girls!
