My maternal grandmother, Dorothy Ann Atkins passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 from pancreatic cancer. The insidious disease has also caused the death of one of my best friend’s grandfather and a very dear cousins’ grandfather is currently battling the disease. Pancreatic cancer accounts for only about 3% of all cancers in the US yet about 7% of all cancer deaths. There is much work to be done, please help me raise awareness and funds.
On Sunday, October 27, 2019, the National Pancreas Foundation Team will be running through the streets of Washington, DC to raise money for cutting-edge research for those suffering from pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, advocating for new and better therapies, and providing support and education for patients, caregivers, and health care professionals.
The NPF is the only foundation dedicated to patients who are suffering from all forms of pancreas disease – pediatric pancreatitis, acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer.
Thank you for supporting our mission and helping provide hope for those with pancreas disease.
