Dare to Play Football and Cheer Camp is an official partnership with the University of Colorado Athletics, Global Down Syndrome Foundation, and Sigma Nu Fraternity that provides life-changing experiences to individuals with Down syndrome. Campers with Down syndrome have been practicing with Sigma Nu brothers and CU football players and will take to Folsom Field during the halftime of the CU vs Air Force Academy game on Sept 14th to show off their skills in a scrimmage. Dare to Cheer participants will perform with the CU dance team on the field after the first quarter and again while Dare to Play Football participants scrimmage at halftime in front of an expected sellout crowd.
As the official philanthropy of the Sigma Nu Chapter in Boulder, the camps were co-founded by an alumni four years ago and have tremendous chapter support. Our brothers are paired with and mentor individuals with Down syndrome for three practices, sit with them and their families on Game Day, and join them on Folsom Field for their performance in front of tens of thousands of cheering CU Buff fans.
We are seeking to raise awareness and financial support to underwrite crucial participant scholarships to ensure all individuals with Down syndrome can participate, regardless of financial ability.
We are pushing to raise $15,000 in our last two weeks of fundraising prior to our big game day. Your continued support in our mission is greatly appreciated and we are excited to see everyone on September 14th when the Buffalos take on Air Force Academy!
Please donate $10, $50, $100 or your desired amount today to this amazing program and make a huge impact in the lives of these amazing individuals with Down syndrome.
