As part of Procurement FiT Club, a team of us across the world have come together for "Cycle for September" to raise money for charity as part of our citizenship mission.
Jersey Battered Womens Services is a private, confidential service welcoming ALL survivors of dating, domestic, or partner abuse (and their family members) regardless of severity of the abuse, marital status, income, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnicity. The mission of JBWS is the prevention of domestic violence through the protection and empowerment of the victim, the rehabilitation of family members, the advocacy for social reform to prevent partner violence, and the education of the public about domestic violence and its consequences.
The COVID19 pandemic has had a profound impact on all of our communities world wide. JBWS has seen a spike in their cases, and with more that 75 paid staff and 200 volunteers that work together to fulfill the agencies mission. I have chosen to support this agency, and help raise funds in this time of need. I have partnered with our Whippany Women's Network, and have committed to cycling 250 miles in the month of September to help raise mony for JBWS. Please support my efforts by contributing to this cause. The aim is to have Barclays match my donations. Every little bit counts!
