Hi my name is Danielle ,
This year I chose to run the Pittsburgh Marathon for charity and I chose the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation because it is very near and dear to my heart💜.
At just 10 months old my nephew Camden was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. He is now 14 yrs old. For most of us eating and breathing is just second nature and we don’t even think twice about it, our body’s absorb our food and our lungs give us no issues. For Camden and others dealing with CF they have to take multiple pills 💊/ enzymes just so they can absorb the fats in their food. Every day he struggles to maintain his weight. CF also affects the lungs, being that Camden has had permanent lung damage since he was an infant it makes him much more susceptible to infections such as pneumonia.
He has spent more time in the hospital in his young 14 years of life than any of us will in our lifetime .
So I choose to run 26.2 miles and with every breath I take I will continue to feel priveldged that I am able to breathe without anything working against me .
Please help me raise money to find a Cure for Camden and every person that deals with this life threatening disease.
