Final Update 12/30:
Today we are celebrating. We’re celebrating hitting our 1000 mile goal (we ran our 1000th mile this morning!). We’re celebrating our health. We’re celebrating the fact that we get to ring in the new year with loved ones. But not everyone is so fortunate. Alzheimer’s is a disease that ravages individuals and families alike. Both of us have been personally impacted by Alzheimer’s, and we feel for all who are impacted by this devastating illness.
We’ve hit our 1000 mile goal, and now we need your help hitting our fundraising goal. Your gift goes directly towards finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. We’d love to see any donation, even 1 penny per mile ($10).
Thank you for your support!
P.S. We will be closing this fundraiser on January 5th, so please donate now :)
Update 6/28: Today we just passed 500 miles and have several more half-marathons planned throughout the year to keep us on track. Please consider a donation of 1 PENNY/mile to keep us motivated on our runs and reaching our goal of raising $10,000.
Alzheimer’s disease affects all of us in some form, which is why we’ve decided to run 1000 miles for Alzheimer’s research in 2018.
This is a cause that is near and dear to us and we’ve spent a lot of time deciding where this money should go. We have chosen the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund because 100% of ALL funds raised go directly towards research “with the highest probability of preventing, slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s disease.”
Thank you very much for your support in reaching this ambitious goal!
