About the Cult for a Cure
One of Burn Fitness’s owners is a 16-year survivor of triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease. Diagnosed at 27 years old, with a 4-month-old baby and a 12-centimeter tumor, hope was slim. This diagnosis was terrifying and overwhelming until she met Dr. Daniel Hayes and nurse practitioner Lita Smith at U-M. Their fight and determination to win is why we have made so much progress. But we need to keep fighting. There are still young mothers dying and people of all ages facing this disease.
We are on a mission to help and give back. Every day at Burn Fitness, we support those with health and fitness goals. Cult for a Cure is a way to embrace and involve the community for a greater good. We want to share understanding, struggles, and wins — and do good together.
The University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer center within a premier academic medical center. Fundraising is imperative to fund the research of world-class scientists. Never have we seen more hope and promise in the fight against breast cancer! The teamwork and collaboration at the Rogel Cancer Center are unmatched. The doctors and scientists work with one another and institutions all around the world in their efforts to find a cure. Their work could advance treatments and cures for all cancers.
We have set a high bar of $200,000. Please consider joining our Cult for a Cure! If you would like to participate as a sponsor, please contact email@example.com. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the U-M Breast Oncology Program.
