I've always believed in the power of pay it forward. Supporting people and organizations that make you feel something. When I first met Nano - I was inspired by how much she dedicates her business to helping people. Cuffed By Nano is a brand we work with that at Mayfair that Nano owns. A jewelry business she started and completely operates by herself (what a fucking girl boss!) What inspired me more than her running the business is that she dedicates a big portion of her proceeds to help her mom's nonprofit - Hands Together For Haitians. This nonprofit helps build schools, pay teachers, and sends kids to school to get an education in Haiti. Nano's proceeds fund her own sponsored school - "The Cuffed School." I knew after seeing photos of the incredible work she does - that we, at the Mayfair Group wanted to be involved. We have dedicated a donation of $3,000 over the next couple months to help the school build all new chalkboards, benches, and a latrine (which they haven't had) to help make the student's education experience even greater. The fact that the kids have to have monetary support to get something as simple as an education really moved me. We should all be able to have this ability - to get to go school and learn and one day have a career of our own. For this reason I wanted to invite everyone for my 28th birthday this Monday to donate to help support additional efforts we are working on with the Cuffed School. We will be donating $3,000 from Mayfair so I would LOVE to match that with additional donations so that we can send even MORE kids, pay MORE teachers, and help more students in Haiti attend this incredible school that Nano has helped build. The world needs more people like Nano and her mom and this is a way we can help them continue to do the amazing work they are already doing.
