Cuatro Puntos is raising money this #GivingTuesdayNOW to help keep audiences engaged and artists employed through the Cross-Atlantic Quarantine Sessions. This ambitious, virtual project began on April 20 and continues through June 29, 2020. Artists from India, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, South Africa, Pakistan and Turkey are broadcasting live from their home countries and are doing collaborative projects with musicians here in Connecticut. During the first three sessions we have engaged over 300 audience members from: Connecticut, New York, Florida, California, Michigan, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and internationally from: England, Colombia, South Africa, Iraq, Germany, Belgium, France, and Canada. We've had great times and so many great questions frm the audience. All of these events are free to anyone who wishes to attend, and have live closed captioning. At normal concerts we take donations at the door, and these funds provide a critical part of our operating budget to keep Cuatro Puntos running. All such events have been cancelled. Please help Cuatro Puntos continue to produce quality events that promote intercultural dialogue all the way through quarantine. The typical "door donation" at a live concert is $10, so you can see how every little bit counts!
