When I was in sixth grade, I read a book called A Long Walk to Water. This is the true story of an 11 year old refugee of the first Sudanese civil war. He then came to the U.S. and started a non-profit organization to bring clean water to his home country. This fundraising project is an effort to raise $15,000 to drill a well through Water for South Sudan, a BBB accredited and 501 (c)(3) organization. Our most recent fundraiser, a chili topping contest on October 28, 2018 succeeded in raising over $4,500! Thank you to everyone who supported the event: it would not have been possible without you! If you missed the event, but are interested in helping the cause, don't worry! We accept donations year round, and are always looking for volunteers to help at events or spread the word.
