Our pups are getting ready to go back to their jobs! The safety of our pets is the top priority for Courage Service Dogs.
Please help our hard-working dogs stay safe as they commute to and from their daily jobs.
Dogs can be even more vulnerable than people during a car accident. If unsecured, they can be crushed or violently thrown during a collision. We want to keep our dogs safe, and with your help, we can make that happen.
We are requesting financial assistance for the purchase of a good quality kennel system to be used as we provide the dogs with the transportation they need to do their jobs.
The amount raised will be used to purchase the kennel and have it installed.
After researching the options, we have decided on the MIM Variocage, which has been extensively tested and provides top-notch protection. It is custom fit to a particular vehicle to provide the best safety possible.
Courage Service dogs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2013 and based in Minneapolis, MN. Our organization provides a unique hybrid service/therapy dog program that helps break down the barriers to effective trauma therapy.
Our focus is on first responders with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other trauma related struggles acquired during their faithful service to our communities. This help is needed even more extensively today as our first responders continue to work during the COVID-19 pandemic and face an uncertain aftermath as a result of their service.
Our dogs are extensively trained with many specific tasks that are most beneficial to therapists who work with their clients. In addition to providing the dogs for their use, we train the individual therapists on how to best use the dogs in their practice.
Each of our dogs consistently work with particular therapists and have their own regular caseloads of clients.
