We are excited to be raising funds for the 2020 Research Residency to Japan in honor of Cruz Miller. Cruz passed away in 2014 and one of his last adventures was participating in this amazing experience. Cruz loved every minute of the trip and would want every student to have the opportunity to travel and study in Japan.
Please consider giving in his honor!

Donations are 100% tax-deductible and will be designated for support of the 2020 Japan Research Residency Trip. For over 25 years, Oya No Kai has been impacting the education of students in the Japanese Dual Language Program of Portland Public Schools (also known as the Japanese Immersion Program). Oya No Kai’s mission is to enhance the level of cultural education in the Japanese Immersion Program at Portland Public Schools. We support student success by fostering a robust intern program that supports our teachers, by creating opportunities for students to experience Japanese culture directly through cultural exchanges, and by organizing community events. It is our hope that when our students graduate, they will be better prepared and more knowledgeable of the world around them.
