Since March 2020 we have all been diligent in providing safe communities by following the guidelines laid out by our Government for COVID-19. We have continued to provide services and connect with our community online. As of 2019 our Province declared October as Dyslexia Awareness Month, to celebrate annually. We all worked extremely hard to attain this proclamation, as it is a beacon in our community to create much needed awareness about Dyslexia.
To help create awareness we have planned a community event that will allow families and friends to participate in a safe and fun way.
Crusin' The City Halloween Hunt will have participants check in at the starting point, use clues to search our city for our other checkpoints, receive candy at every point and win a prize for the most clues found, while doing this all from the convenience of their car.
All checkpoints will be drive-thru, so we are able to social distance.
Money raised through GOFUNDME will be used to purchase candy and prizes for our top 3 teams who participate in this event. Raised funds will go towards services for people with Dyslexia.
No one knows how COVID-19 will change Halloween this year, but we know we can still make it happen.
Trick or Treat social distance style!
