Community Rowing’s para-rowing program makes the sport of rowing available to people with intellectual and physical disabilities of all kinds. Military veterans and their families, students in the Boston Public Schools, and individuals from every walk of life come to Community Rowing to experience the freedom of being out on the water, to be treated as an athlete, and to be a part of a vibrant, inclusive and caring community. Para-athletes from CRI can be found launching off the docks of CRI daily, and competing around the world, from US National Team Selection events to the Head Of The Charles. Para-rowing at CRI is a critical and growing part of the rowing community. Support from the Head Of The Charles Regatta plays a critical role in making this sport available to everyone.
