Arrow’s mission is to be a premier source of creative entrepreneur enrichment, arts education, and art immersion for the entire Memphis community. Arrow currently has 6 studios for local artists and creatives. During this time, our creatives need your help. A typical day of an artist would be to join us at the concept shop on Broad Ave, open their studios, begin creating and talking with customers, and selling their pieces. Without the shop open, that revenue stream has been lost. By donating today, you will be giving our creatives the ability to return to their studios ready to create, hopefully in the coming months. #keepmemphiscreativelyquarantined
Our studio renters are:
Nicki Halford (jewelry design) with The Faint of Heart @thefaintofheartco
Ramone Allen (painter) with Mural Muse Design @mural.muse
Shelby Brown (painter) with Shelby Brown Art @shelbybrownart
Camilla Curran (talent agent & dancer) with AMAX Agency @amaxagency
Andy and Amanda Torres (graphic design & blogging) with Mobius Theory and Curious Cocounut @mobiustheorymemphis @thecuriouscoconut
The need for Arrow has been made clear through the successful models of the Memphis Fashion Design Network, started by Arrow co-founder Abby Phillips with Memphis Fashion Week in 2012, Positively Creative and the local chapter of the Rising Tide Society, started by Arrow co-founder Dorothy Collier in 2017, and 6 years of collaboration with Memphis College of Art's Community Education programs. Arrow has been building classes and workshops and growth opportunities for creatives and the community, which will continue to flourish now in Arrow’s new location on Broad Avenue.
With ten departments of arts equipment, Arrow is continuing the legacy of Memphis College of Art through Community Education and accessible equipment, as well as some of the most beloved programs and events. Arrow provides unique and meaningful arts programming for all Memphis residents and visiting arts enthusiasts. Expanding on our current curriculum which includes classes such as clay making, paper making, packaging for creatives, and pricing guidelines for creatives, Arrow will continue to fill the creative community with new community education programming and engaging spaces.
