Support The Extraordinary!
More than 30,000 of Michigan’s PreK-12 students each year benefit from outreach programs delivered by Cranbrook Institute of Science. These initiatives focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) experiences that are interactive and customized, and that strive to excite, educate, and motivate students to explore careers in STEM fields.
Students from underserved communities in Flint, Detroit, Pontiac, Southfield, Hamtramck, and more receive immersive STEM outreach programming in their classrooms provided by Institute of Science educators. These initiatives encourage a deeper understanding of science and include a variety of topics from anthropology, astronomy, earth science, environmental science, life science, and physical science.
Your support will help continue these critical programs and will inspire the next generation of scientists.
Here's how your support can make a difference:
$25: Offsets the cost of safety goggles for a classroom's chemistry lab
$50: Supports curriculum development for a Design Thinking challenge workshop
$100: Allows for an institute educator to develop a preschool science experience
$250: Covers the full cost of one STEM outreach program to an area classroom
$500: Pays for 50 students to enjoy a dome theatre show using the Acheson Mobile Planetarium
Give the gift of STEM education, and support the extraordinary!
