Food Frenzy is a 30-year strong creative competition among local businesses through Food Lifeline to collect food, volunteer and raise funds to alleviate hunger in Western Washington. Hunger and food insecurity is especially difficult during the summer months when kids are out of school and community food banks and programs are further strapped to provide food to struggling families. Food Lifeline works to end hunger in our region for the long-term through key business partnerships and advocacy. Through these efforts, they are able to secure food from farmers, manufacturers, grocery stores and retail locations to divert 50 million pounds of food annuallythat would otherwise go to waste. Food Lifeline is one of the most efficient nonprofits in Washington state. For every $1 donated, they are able to provide the equivalent of four meals to someone who is hungry. Thanks to the combined impact of donated food and funds, 96% of Food Lifeline’s expenses directly support programs that feed people. Our office has been a long-time supporter of Food Frenzy and is honored to continue with the tradition this year.
$1 donation = 4 meals
