When a crisis arises, cooperative resident-owned communities (ROCs) continually prove they are #BetterTogether.
As cooperatives, ROCs are manufactured home communities owned and operated by their residents. These residents make decisions, improve their communities together, and take care of one another.
At ROC USA, we serve members of low and moderate income - those expected to be impacted hardest by the coronavirus pandemic. As COVID-19 ravages our country, ROC USA is raising money to provide emergency grants for ROC households diagnosed with COVID-19. These grants will provide site rent assistance for recipients - our hope is that by taking some financial pressure off, the resident can focus their energy into overcoming the harsh symptoms of COVID-19.
For each dollar raised, ROC USA and ROC Association will provide a combined match of one dollar, up to $10,000.
ROC USA will review grant applications and will assign priority to those infected with the virus who require intensive medical care.
If you are a resident of a ROC USA resident-owned community interested in applying for a grant, please visit: https://rocusa.org/covid-19-grant/
