Help kids in New Jersey communities during this time of need.
Hi, my name is Micaeli. I'm a sophmore in high school, and for the past few years I've worked with STEAMpark, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides educational, emotional, and wellness support to kids in underserved communities. However, due to COVID-19, STEAMpark can no longer offer physical programming for the kids that so desperately need their help. That's why I have created this initiative: to help provide children with the resources they need to continue learning despite the circumstances.
Many families have been hit hard due to COVID-19. Thousands of parents have lost their jobs, and schools have extended closures, leaving students unable to keep busy and learning. Children in underserved communities are particularly vulnerable right now. Countless students are without computers or internet connection, even if their schools are offering online instruction. Additionally, without school resources, they do not have access to basic school supplies or a way to connect with outside resources for help.
STEAMpark is working to give "survival kits" to kids in need every month during these uncertain times, including computer devices to those that do not have them, interactive zoom classes for kids to see/hear their teachers and friends, online tutoring, and weekly workshops for kids that otherwise have no outside connection. With your help, I want to help STEAMpark give students these things - to make their lives easier and give them a better shot at a bright future.
With your donation today, children in underserved communities could have access to the tools they need to learn and thrive despite the current circumstances.
