This fundraiser is organized by teens at Springhouse Community School. Springhouse is a non-profit independent high school in Floyd, Virginia. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to switch our program to online learning. We are very committed to staying connected, not only as a school, but as a community.
Every year the students at Springhouse have a fundraising goal and are responsible for helping to meet the school's operating budget. In order to reach this year’s goal of $5,000 we need to raise another $2,000. With the pandemic, we have not been able to hold fundraising events, so we're asking you to donate here.
This is more important now than ever. More than 75% of our families receive financial assistance, and with the impacts of Covid-19, many folks are facing increased financial uncertainty. We also want to raise this money to ensure our amazing staff can provide for themselves and their families in this challenging time.
We know that many people are facing real challenges at this time. Sometimes it feels like we are imprisoned in our homes, but there are people who are actually in the criminal justice system where they are at increased risk for infection. We care about the future, not just for ourselves, but for ALL, especially those who are most vulnerable. Please help us raise $2,000 dollars by the end of May, and we will donate $1,000 to a bail fund to support those who might otherwise face exposure and unnecessary hardships in jail (https://secure.actblue.com/donate/bailfundscovid). Lets make a difference, one step at a time, to support those in need and the school that we love!
