During this difficult time in history, we need funds to support our ministry. We have more than quadrupled the amount of pantry bags served. The need is so great that we are depleting our resources. Our volunteers are essential workers who are graciously donating their time to make sure our most vulnerable population are being fed. We need funds to purchase gas cards to continue doing deliveries to the homebound and uber cards for our volunteers to get back and forth to the pantry safely.
Hunger is a serious issue and we are being flooded with phone calls of people who are suffering from hunger. We do not want to turn anyone away. The average size of the families we serve are families of 5. In January we packed pantry bags for approximately 120 families for the month. In February the list grew to about 180 familes a week, fast forward to March last week we tallied 280 families in one week.
The clients at the soup kitchen have also trippled. We are practicing social distancing and therefore we need supplies, masks, surgical gowns, extra gloves, sanitizers and so forth. Won't you please help.
