Help support the animals and our team during this time of need.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented number of world-wide hardships, including difficulties in caring for the homeless pets of our community. Over the last couple of months, the Humane Society of Imperial County has lost some support due to these hardships. Our team and volunteers completely understand that some things are just out of our hands. Thus far, we have been able to keep our heads afloat and have been able to provide the hundreds of animals in our care with full tummies and a clean and safe temporary living environment. As the days go by and incoming donations have begun to dwindle down, there has never been a greater need for the love and support of friends near and far during these uncertain times… Every day, our team members remain committed to work and care for the orphaned animals that we serve. Now, they need YOUR help. Our organization is committed to ensuring that our employees are able to maintain financial stability and provide day-to-day necessities for the animals in our care during the coronavirus crisis.
GoFundMe.org has made the monumental #GivingTuesdayNow effort possible! Aside from setting the platform, GoFundMe.org will donate an additional $1,000 to organizations who are able to collect $1,000 from ten or more online donations between April 16th at 10:00 am Pacific Time and May 10th at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting our dedicated team for #GivingTuesdayNow on Tuesday, May 5th. No matter the amount of your contribution, your gift will help provide immediate financial support so that we can purchase essential food and supplies for the animals, essential supplies for staff (gloves, face masks, disinfectants, etc.) and seek medical care for animals who come to us with illness and injury.
Many aspects of all our lives are at a standstill for the time being, but the need for around the clock care for our community’s shelter pets will never cease. Together we can save the lives of our four-legged community members.
Please keep you and your furry families safe and healthy. Thank you all for your continued love and support!
