Under the COVID19 lockdown, the most vulnerable families in the Snoqualmie Valley are the ones who will suffer the most. Many of them rely on free school meals as the only hot meal their child will get in a day.
The number of struggling families is only going to get bigger, while the capacity of local foodbanks is stretched to breaking point and cannot come anywhere near meeting the demand, leaving families without anywhere to turn for help.
We are a group of students who have been sent home from high schools and colleges and have recognized the challenges that face the families in our community.
We are asking everyone from our community to come together to give whatever they can so that we can aid families in need. Your donations will go straight to the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank to help them provide for families and students throughout the valley.
The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank is putting together bags/boxes of food consisting of shelf stable, fresh foods and meat for meals for a week.
Please give whatever you can so we can help everyone get through this crisis together.
