To get your donation MATCHED through our partners at All in Washington please donate at https://bit.ly/undocureliefmatch
Donate now, and your donation will be matched by a generous donor with the All in Washington network. This donor has made a $25M contribution to match new donations, dollar for dollar, up to $1 million per unique donor. Let’s maximize our giving through this match.
Note: When donating you will have the option to choose a team member. This feature has been added to help our new partners, Entre Hermanos and Somos Seattle, track their fundraising goals. Scholarship Junkies is the option that will allow the founding members (Washington Dream Coalition, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network, and Scholarship Junkies) to track their fundraising. All donations, regardless of which team member you select, will go directly to the support of Undocumented families.
Our undocumented community is one of the most vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic in Washington State. Due to Governor Jay Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order made on Monday, March 23rd, 2020, many non-essential businesses are now closed. The reality is that many undocumented people work in jobs that are most vulnerable to exposure to the virus and to the economic impacts. From getting laid off, working either non-essential or essential jobs, and not having access to healthcare, we know that the undocumented community will have limited access to government resources and a safety net to be able to take care of themselves and their families during this crisis. It should not be that way.
To support our community, the Washington Dream Coalition, in partnership with Scholarship Junkies, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, and Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network are fundraising through Scholarship Junkie's 501(c)(3) GoFundMe and other avenues to provide emergency and preventative financial relief to undocumented individuals that are at financial risk.
We seek to provide direct economic support to our undocumented community during the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order. Join us today, to ensure we are able to collectively reach our goal of $1,250,000 to support a minimum of 1,200 families. Please donate, share this fundraiser on social media, and direct friends, co-workers, and big funders you may know. If you are a donor who would like to sponsor an undocumented family or individual directly as opposed to donating directly to our fundraiser, please fill out this form. We would also like to ask for donations and outreach support with this fundraiser specifically from allies to the undocumented community.
Three ways you can support our campaign
1. Donate. No amount is too small nor too large.
2. Become a monthly donor.
3. Share. When sharing please include why it is personally important for you to support our undocumented community in Washington State during this time.
If you want to send a check please send us an email via email@example.com. If you want to make a donation via a donor-advised, or a Trust our EIN is 81-3153433 Scholar Fund (DBA: Scholarship Junkies)
** For logistics and transparency: Money raised will go directly to Scholarship Junkies, a registered 501(c)(3), who will disburse the money to directly impacted individuals and families who applied for assistance until all the funds raised are completely distributed. We are estimating that the distribution amounts will be between $500 - $1,000 per individual. We will be releasing a form for undocumented individuals and families to apply for assistance on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020, after donations have been made, to have a better sense of how much we are able to give to each individual.
If you are a non-profit who would like to partner with us, please contact the Washington Dream Coalition at firstname.lastname@example.org.
