ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER
The COVID-19 outbreak is a raging fire and wreaking havoc in towns and remote villages in the continent of Africa. Like in Imo State, Nigeria, people are suffering. HUNGER from lack of food, plus good drinking water, medical care, cash or any help from their community leaders is destroying families. Villagers are overwhelmed with lock-down (quarantine) with no means of livelihood and no food to eat. Just like the entire world is feeling the impact of COVID-19, nothing prepared these villagers in these remote villages of Africa on the economic, psychological and social impact of this pandemic. They are struggling to survive the effects of COVID-19 from hunger than the virus itself. Coronavirus testing kits are non-existence in these communities and hunger survival rules the day.
Their Government provides little or nothing to alleviate their sufferings thereby leaving the villagers to their unfortunate fate. SADLY, MANY HAVE DIED OF STARVATION AND COVID-19 AS WELL.
The vulnerable in these villages, the elderly are also affected. They do not live in nursing homes or senior centers but live alone in their homes. They rely on their children and others for food provisions and welfare checks and which are now impossible due to the lock-down. DSEN Foundation is responding to these sufferings and has been a leader in helping and advocating for the underserved communities around the world.

WHAT IS DSEN FOUNDATION ROLE DURING THIS PANDEMIC?
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to save lives, DSEN Foundation is on the frontline and responding to the hunger emergency and COVID-19 testing at this critical period.
We are distributing foods and providing good drinking water to the remote villages in order to combat hunger as well as provide medical care to mitigate COVID-19. Food items are bought and distributed to villagers at the community centers. The needs are daily and the number of families coming to the centers for food are increasing by the day. The villagers are more worried about what they will eat the next day than going to the medical center that DSEN Foundation sponsors for COVID-19 testing.
Your tax deductible donations today will help provide good drinking water and staple food such as Rice, Beans, Garri, Yams, Potatoes, Cassava Fufu, Milk, Meat, Poultry, Fruits and Vegetables.
No amount is too small and your donations of $50 will provide food for days for a family of four.
Our long term pandemic solutions and sustainable goals include food security programs such as income-enterprise initiatives and business assistance. All DSEN Foundation programs are designed with the collaboration of the local communities and their community leaders.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?
By donating today, your tax deductible donation will help provide good drinking water and staple foods such as Rice, Beans, Garri, Yams, Potatoes, Cassava Fufu, Milk, Meat, Poultry, Fruits and Vegetables for these families. It will also help mitigate COVID-19, provide testing for the villagers, and treat those infected with the virus.
You could save a life today and possibly prevent millions from dying from STARVATION AND COVID-19.
