The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc globally. According to published reports, Bangladesh is the second most affected country in South Asia, after India. All segments of society have been heavily impacted. With poverty levels expected to continue rising in the coming months, young people, women and adolescent girls will continue to be the most affected.
Building on the success of a one self-funded feeding project held in December 2020, Care Queen & King Foundation Global Family Network Inc, a non-for-profit organization registered in the United States, has launched a GoFundMe Campaign to support a six-month project that aims to provide daily meals, clothing, blankets, PPEs and sanitary supplies to the most vulnerable citizens living in communities in the Dhanmondi area within the capital city of Dhaka. The project will feature advocacy and awareness campaigns to help people to better cope with the pandemic. The Campaign will run from January to June 2021.
