Musoke International is a Christian charity that supports vulnerable communities in Uganda. In particular, we have been paying the school fees for 133 orphaned children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to go to school. Additionally, we are funding a fish farming project on Lake Victoria with a small fishing community, which will empower this struggling community with an enterprise that provides jobs and a steady source of income. As you might imagine, the lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic have significantly impacted these communities through job loss and inability to pay rent for accommodations, buy food, or afford medications and health care. With the closures of schools, lessons have been broadcasted over the radio but our children and their guardians cannot afford radios or batteries. We are seeking emergency assistance to help these communities weather the storm until they can get the fish farming project back online, and children back to school.
