GCHS did not quit rescuing during the COVID-19 Crisis
During these unique and tragic COVID-19 Crisis times, every aspect of life was interrupted or affected, including the world of animal rescue.
But what wasn't put on pause was the need to care and rescue those animals in need. There still were homeless pets in the streets, animals in need of medical attention and those still hoping for a forever home. That's where Gulf Coast Humane Society stayed true to their message of rescuing and finding homes for those pets who didn't have one.
GCHS has been supported by the community very well for 73 years, and during these crisis, the shelter gave back to that same community. GCHS attended 14 Mobile Food Pantries run through Community Cooperative, handing out over three tons of cat and dog food for peoples' pets. The community stepped up in a huge way donating more than enough pet food to cover each and every Mobile Food Pantry.
Unfortunatley with GCHS losing much of its revenue income due to all of its event cancellations and donations drying up due to the challenges the crisis has created, #GivingTuesdayNow is a perfect way to make an impact on a shelter animals' life. GCHS is a 501c3 non-profit organization and highly depends on monetary donations.
Your generous donation will benefit our shelter animals in one way or another, that is a guarantee. Any amount given today goes a long ways....and creating another opportunity for a GCHS shelter animal to find their furever home!
