Kekeli’s work has been altered significantly because of the COVID-19 pandemic. All schools have been closed, which means that our Resource and Assessment Center is not working with students at present. This is directly affecting our families.
· Families used to go to the hospital for physical therapy. They would meet with a dietician who treated the children for malnutrition and helped parents learn how to provide the best food and learn to feed any children with feeding difficulties. COVID-19 regulations mean they can no longer go to these classes.
· Since the new restrictions from COVID 19, many of our families have not been able to work. Some markets have closed and the cost of food has gone up making it more difficult for our families to get the necessary food for their children.
We realize there is tremendous need everywhere right now. Nevertheless, we hope you will support our appeal for donations to help our children and families in Ghana, because these donations can be matched by Go Fund Me and will go even further in assisting them during this difficult time. A donation of $25 will help provide food for one family for two weeks.
