Help us get food and COVID protection to the people of Nimasac, Guatemala, during this time of need.
Since the onslaught of the virus in Guatemala, the residents of the mountain town of Nimasac cannot leave their village, not even to go to the next town; there is no public transportation now and few have vehicles. The village has no supermarket, and regular market days are cancelled. This means they cannot sell their goods, go to jobs, or otherwise earn income. They simply don't have funds or access to purchase facemasks, gel sanitizer, or staples such as rice or beans. Our campaign will raise money to get those needed items to the village. Our staff will be delivering the items between May 10 and 13.
There are about 8,000 residents of Nimasac.
$14 buys a gallon of sanitizer for a family (about 8-10 persons)
$15 about 10 disposable masks (1 week use)
$13 buys 5 washable masks
$22 buys a 10 lb bag of rice or beans
$25 supports our staff who will spend time and fuel to get these up the mountain.
Thank you for helping us make this happen.
