In April of 2019, I ran my first Boston Marathon. Not knowing what to expect, I just wanted to see what the hype was all about and to go out there, have fun, and finish. I ended up running a great race and so I’m back, hungry for more! This year, while I still have a goal of finishing with a new PR, I have another goal in mind, too! I will be running to raise money for the Animal Rescue League (ARL) of Berks County. If you know me, you will know my love for animals and that I may be an overly obsessed dog mom. I have two rescue pups of my own (who just so happen to be 2 of my training partners, as well!) that I devote much of my free time. I believe that all animals deserve a FURever home to be loved and spoiled, and that’s what the ARL strives to do.
The Animal Rescue League of Berks County has been helping in the improvement of humane treatment of animals for over 50 years. Every year, the ARL cares for more than 5,000 animals either lost, abandoned, unwanted, or abused. They provide medical care, housing, food, water, enrichment, and so much more as they work tirelessly to find these animals another chance in a loving, forever home. The organization and dedicated staff is available 365 days of the year to provide care for the animals that enter their doors, which ultimately, comes with significant costs.
With that being said, please consider donating to support this great cause! Anything helps! If you are unable to leave a monetary donation, I will also be collecting items on their wish list at https://www.berksarl.org/wishlist/ PLEASE SHARE AND SPREAD THE WORD! Thank you so much for helping our furry friends in need!
