The Cornhusker Tradition
The Cornhusker community has a long tradition of supporting our active duty and veteran military communities and their families. From Camp Humphreys to the U.S. Navy Hospital Beaufort to Fort Devens Army Garrison to the Blue Grass Army Depot and Pohakuloa Training Area, our state is rich with warriors who support us. Now it is our time to support them.
Will You Support Big Red as We Support Our Military?
Did you know that approximately 22 veterans die from suicide every day? Since September 11, 2001, approximately 7,000 have died in combat but 140,000 have died as a result of suicide. The Cornhusker Marching Band thinks #22aDayis22TooMany. We want to be part of the solution to this epidemic. Join your fellow Cornhuskers as we march 22 miles in 22 days to raise money and awareness in celebration of our veterans, active-duty members of the military, first responders and their families. Proceeds go to support the nonprofit Stop Soldier Suicide.
