I have chosen to run the 2020 Boston Marathon for the Corey C. Griffin Foundation –– a charity that is focused on providing medical and financial support to at-risk and underprivileged youth in the Boston area. This foundation was introduced to me during my time at Boston College by some great friends. I was enraptured by the way the foundation combines philanthropy and fun while engaging a young audience and inspiring them to commit to charity work at a young age--all in the spirit of a man, Corey Griffin, who brought out these traits in those around him.
I am purely honored and excited to run for a foundation that is based in a city I love on a day that is so integral to its culture and heartbeat. I am even more excited to run for a Foundation that has an eye toward, once again, getting younger people involved in fundraising. Some of my buddies, Andrew Mclaughlin and Grady Zink, have already led the way organizing fundraising for CCG Foundation in the past few years. I'm purely trying to follow the tone they have set! If you happen to have a spare moment, I would truly appreciate your taking the time to make any donation possible. Boston and its kids will benefit no matter how you give.
This year I am running on behalf of Anthony J. Petrocelli, a friend of mine, who passed away from Ewings Sarcoma this Summer. Thus, it is an honor to run for CCGF, as the organization is committed to supporting Boston Children's Hospital.
Thank you for your support!
When you support the Corey C. Griffin Foundation Boston Marathon team, you will be funding the Foundation's programs in support of children. The CCGF helps children thrive, learn and achieve, regardless of economic or medical circumstance. We work to positively change the trajectory of children's lives to profoundly impact their lives and society as a whole.
Because every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
The CCGF is focused on making strategic investments to improve the lives and opportunities for youth -- whether it be supporting the families of pediatric patients at Boston Children's Hospital, funding programs and providing scholarships to students at Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy, or sending underprivileged youth to the Ron Burton Training Village...these initiatives touch the lives of "Corey's Kids" at crucial times in their lives.
Together we can amplify our impact. Learn more.
