In honor of my best friend, Kada Phe, I am excited to participate in PHL24: Legacy of Hope’s 2nd Annual 24hr stair climbing event on Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st, 2019. I am taking on the challenge of climbing the famous Rocky Steps for the full 24 hours. That’s right, 24 hours straight!!! Last year’s inaugural event was a huge success and I had an unforgettable time on the steps. I’m eager to take on this challenge again! I know, the thought of going up and down the steps for 24 hrs may seem impossible or too difficult… And yes, it's a daunting challenge (I admit, it was certainly a test of endurance) But what is even more difficult is having to lose a close friend and/or family member to cancer. Cancer sucks! In 2014, I lost my childhood best friend to a disease that has no discretion or sympathy. My beloved best friend left us way too soon. Cancer must be stopped! Please join me in the fight against cancer. Let's join together to raise money and provide support to cancer patients right here in our great city of Philadelphia. Through Legacy of Hope, a generous organization that believes no person fighting cancer should have to lose their home or choose between paying for cancer treatments or paying for food/bills. Every single step that you take makes a difference in the lives of those fighting cancer and we promise to fight until every cancer is cured. Together, we WILL defeat cancer!
“The best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others.” -Mahatma Gandhi
If you are up for the stairs challenge, please join me for 10 minutes, 1 hour or all 24 hrs - you decide! PHL24 is a fun event for all ages and fitness levels. I'll see you at the steps!
If you can’t join me, please consider donating. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Legacy of Hope’s mission to support local cancer patients in need and their families, as well as funding the most promising research to find new treatments and cures.
