For my Bar Mitzvah Project I chose to support Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) - a nonprofit organization that provides equipment to kids around the world. Each year, PIFBS sends much needed equipment to Israel to help them grow the game of baseball. I will be raising money to support PIFBS' efforts to grow baseball in Israel! The money I raise will help with the cost of shipping and providing new equipment for Israel Association of Baseball. Any funds that I raise that exceed my goal will be put towards other awesome projects that Pitch In For Baseball & Softball does each year. I'm really excited about this collaboration and I hope that you will help me reach my fundraising goal to support them!
Founded in 2005, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball believes that baseball and softball are effective tools for youth development. Not only do they give kids a chance to be a kid and play, but it also helps to create healthy communities, break down barriers, and instill valuable life lessons. PIFBS aims to reduce barriers to play and bring communities together by collecting and redistributing much needed baseball/softball equipment to groups serving under-resourced children. Since 2005, PIFBS has donated more than $9 million in equipment to help 800,000 kids play ball in every state and 100 countries worldwide.
