The Bird Center of Washtenaw County is a non profit 501c3 chairity that rehabs wild songbirds. Every year, the Bird Center of Washtenaw County plans to have somone attend The National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association Symposium if possible. Help us send our clinic director Andrea to Texas this year for this amazing opportunity at continuing education , hands on labs, and behind the scenes tours !
Our goal here is to cover the travel, lodging, food, and registration fees for Andrea, the BCWC clinic director, to attend NWRA 2020. Our clinic director has been a veterinary technician for over 15 years, a rehabber for 8, and director for almost 3. It's a fantastic opportunity for continuing education and helps us stay current on best practices for medical treatment.
These symposiums have pushed wildlife rehabilitation from frontier medicine to veterinary level practice, and we take pride in our contributions as well as implementation of improved practices. It is also a wonderful way to met other rehabbers from around the world, make conections, and learn from each another. With Andrea working as hard as she does for the center, we only hope you want to help us help her take care of our birds in even better and updated ways!
**Any funds exceedin the goal will be given directly to the center for daily operations and care of the birds.
