Coronavirus has impacted all of our lives, businesses are closed, events are cancelled, people are following the advice to stay home and to venture out only when necessary. The one thing that won't be affected by everything that is going on around us is the quickly approaching fire season. With that being said, most of our fundraisers have been cancelled so we are reaching out to you to help us continue to serve and support our firefighters and their families when a need arises. So far this year we are currently supporting firefighters and their families in both line of duty and non line of duty injuries or fatalities including the families of the firefighters who lost their lives in Australia. The numbers for the non line of duty deaths this year, especially with suicide completions are staggering and we aren't even a quarter of the way through 2020 yet. Mental Trauma and other mental issues are the injuries that we cannot see and are not talked about openly. Suicide Completions are currently taking more firefighter lives than line of duty deaths. Cancer related illness and/or deaths are close behind. We have been the first contact for many of these firefighters and their families providing the support that they need to get back to enjoying life again. We have trauma trained clinicians on hand and we will always be there for our firefighters. They are the unsung heroes that will always be there to protect your natural resources, your communities and you. The support we provide is completely dependent on your donations. We need your help now more than ever. Please share our story, as Compassion Spreads Like Wildfire . We understand how difficult these times are we along with the entire wildland fire community appreciate anything you can do to help.
