In October 2016 Brad saw a photo of Jeraldo, an 8-year old Peruvian boy living in poverty, at the Compassion International table at Casting Crowns concert. He decided to sponsor Jeraldo. Being a sponsor means financially supporting the child to improve academics, health, and spiritual life. Support is provided through the Jeraldo's local church through the pastor and staff, ensuring Jeraldo receives support tailored to his specific needs. In February of 2019, Annika began sponsoring Nayumi, an 8-year old Peruvian girl also living in poverty.
Donations go to general funds for Compassion International to provide temporary support to children across the world until a permanent sponsor can be found for them. They can also be used to provide gifts such as school supplies and clothing for children on their birthday and Christmas.
