We are thrilled to be part of Community Rowing Inc.'s (CRI) 2020 Boston Marathon team.
Rowing changed our lives. Our coaches, teammates, success, and failure made us who we are. Rowing at CRI catapulted us and opened doors to collegiate rowing and winning a bronze medal for the U23 National team.
We think everyone should have access to the sport.
We’re proud to be raising awareness and support for CRI’s Para Rowing programs, which gives youth and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities the opportunity to row, compete, and be part of a team.
Our CRI marathon team of 15 will raise over 50% of their para rowing budget. Here is what your support impacts:
- Rowing PE classes for kids in Boston Public Schools
- Military veteran programs
- High school adaptive racing team & para-athletes competing for the US National Para Team
- Partnerships with Mass General, Spaulding, Perkins School for the Blind, and others to create innovative and inclusive rowing programming
Join us in ensuring that everyone—regardless of physical or mental ability—has the opportunity to sweat, compete, and row.
Thanks for supporting us and CRI.

Community Rowing, Inc. (CRI) was founded in Boston in 1985 by a group of Olympic and National Team rowers who wanted to expand access and increase diversity within the sport of rowing. We are now the largest public access rowing organization in the world with more than 12,000 active participants from the Greater Boston area.
Our mission is “Rowing for All” and we make the sport accessible without regard to individual ability, background, experience, or income. We aim to change lives, from the eighth-grader living with food insecurity who finds new stability and connections at CRI, to adults rediscovering what it means to be on a team, to the student with disabilities who develops confidence and a lifelong love of rowing. CRI is the USRowing Para Training Center, the first national training center for rowers with disabilities in the United States, and we are committed to advancing Para Rowing at all levels. Our programs are transformative, inspiring teamwork and cooperation, self-advocacy and drive, and a deep appreciation for our city.
