Immigrant Rights Action/Grupo de Acción of Doylestown provides immediate support to individuals who have been detained or threatened with deportation, and their families. Please support us in making our year-end giving goal.
Our 100% crowd-sourced legal defense fund had its origin in March 2017 when community members raised $2,000 to retain an immigration attorney on behalf of 4 young restaurant employees in the borough of Doylestown who had been apprehended by ICE.
Since 2017, our fund has supported 95 separate legal immigration cases, distributing over $45,000 in financial assistance to residents of Bensalem, Buckingham, Doylestown, Dublin, Levittown, Pipersville, Quakertown, Sellersville, Southampton, Warminster and Warrington.
Our $500 grants can help quickly retain a reputable immigration attorney -- and having immediate legal representation can mean the difference between separating families and keeping them together.
We have already distributed over $15,000 from our Legal Defense Fund in 2020, so our final goal for this fundraiser is $16,400. We want to bring the year to a strong close and we know we can do it with your help! Every donation makes a difference, no matter how small.
Please make your tax-deductible contribution here, and also share our cause within your network using the buttons on this page. Thank you for your support of our immigrant neighbors in Bucks County!
