Community Impact Award
Honoring Community Members Making a Positive Impact
We live in a wonderful community of caring, involved people. Because of this, Kiwanis Club of Punta Gorda Foundation created the Community Impact Award to recognize those individuals who have made a positive impact in our community.
The nominees for the 2018 Community Impact Award are: L. Victor Desguin, Lifelong Community Activist; Joanne Winkler, Founder of Empty Bowls of Charlotte County; and Michael Riley, CCPS/BoogieMen. Each of these is well known for their service to the community, especially improving lives of children.
The winner will be announced during the Community Impact Award Dinner on Friday, September 7, 2018. Every dollar raised by the nominee is a vote; the nominee with the most votes will receive the Award. Vote now for your favorite by purchasing tickets to the dinner, making a donation, or holding a fundraiser on their behalf.
Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 so we can grow our programs to make more kids' lives better.
